Take it for a walk
Step through the weights, change the scale, and type anything, accents included. Kerning is still on the drafting table, so some pairs will sit a little loose.
Atlas Sans keeps the skeleton and lets every letter take the width it wants.

Drawn from the same survey
- One skeleton, two fonts
- Cap height 660, x-height 490, and the same stems as Atlas Mono. Set them side by side and the letters line up, with no jump in size or color.
- Every letter at its own width
- Each glyph is refit from its Mono drawing to a natural advance, from a 252-unit i to a 960-unit W. Stems stay at full weight as the ink narrows.
- Redrawn where it counts
- Shapes that only existed to fill a fixed cell are drawn again as real sans forms: i, j, l, and I drop their serifs, r gets a short level arm, and m, w, and M are rebuilt at sans width.
- Tabular figures
- Every figure is 580 units wide, so prices, timestamps, and order numbers stack in clean columns without any extra settings.
- Soft corners, slanted terminals
- The 10-unit corner radius and the slanted terminals on c, e, and a carry over from Mono, along with the flat-topped A and the hanging Q tail.
- Nine weights and an italic
- Thin to Black on the same weight axis as Mono, with a matching italic, so the two pair weight for weight.

The two share a skeleton, so they sit on the same line without fighting. Tabular figures keep the numbers in their columns.

Installing the fonts
Unzip the download and drag the variable folder into your font manager. Both families share the same weight axis, so a 500 heading pairs with 500 code.
In your editor, set the code font to Atlas Mono and the interface font to Atlas Sans:
